1 – Select desired slate position where you want to install the first slate anchor/flashing to go. (sf1/SF2)
2 – Remove slate using industry methods and put to one side as a spare.
3 – Remove the slate to the left or right on the course below to expose the rafter.
4 – Put the first slate anchor/flashing into desired position.
5 – Lining up the rafter make a mark on the raised section of the anchor flashing where the metal roof hook will sit.
6 – Remove slate anchor/flashing and re fit the slate to the course below using original fixing method.
7 – Remove protective strip from the butyl strip on the rear of the slate flashing.
8 – Place the slate anchor/flashing back into desired position.
9 – Place the metal roof hook(ras3) over the previous mark where the rafter sits.
10 – Pre drill 2 x 5mm holes in between the slot on the metal roof anchor(ras3) through the raised section and the slate below(do not drill into the rafter)
11 – Fit the EPDM washers as shown and 2 x 6mm Heco screws through the pre drilled holes into the rafter to secure both the slate anchor flashing and the metal roof hook simultaneously.
12 – Fix metal roof hook convertor(ras2) if required using nut and bolt provided.
13 – Repeat process for desired number of fixings.
